Friends of Paignton Parish Church
Newsletter December 2006

Dear Friends,

Herewith my bi-annual letter to the Friends of Paignton Parish Church, Our finances remain very healthy, with special thanks to the Chapin Foundation, though our parent body, the Parish Church, has had to do some hard thinking to try and increase its income, Largely because of this there have been no new projects started to which we might contribute within the church, though we did have a hand in rejuvenating the church website (address above) which is well worth a visit.

Our membership stays fairly constant with new members joining and old friends sadly passing on. A reminder that annual subscriptions are due in January and that they were increased to £6 a year from last January. Grateful thanks to those life members who make a donation at this time.

Included with this newsletter is a leaflet giving details of the community centre we are hoping to build in place of our present church hall. The Friends are not directly involved in this but you may like to know what is intended, and contribute if you can.

We hope to start on at least one major project in the foreseeable future and hopefully more of this in the next newsletter.

With very best wishes for 2007 from the Committee and myself as we continue our work in the coming year,

Yours sincerely,
Ray Yates
Acting Chairman
